Skills for bioindustry: from cells to biopharmaceuticals 2472, 1,5 ECTS
The aim of the course is to prepare and enable doctoral students to translate and complement their academic knowledge and skills acquired during the doctoral studies to industrial skills. After the completed course, the students will be able to describe the use of cell biological methods in drug development in the biotech and biopharmaceutical industry. The students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of bioindustry specific skills.
The course focus on bioindustry-specific skills in cell and molecular biology, such as experimental design, intellectual property and a review of quality systems including documentation. The drug development pipeline in general complemented with a focus on cell biology applications. The learning activities on the course are a combination of lectures, case discussions and group presentations.
