The illustration shows stem cells from mice that have differentiated towards midbrain dopaminergic neurons. In Parkinson's disease, this kind of dopamin producing neurons in the brain are damaged and ultimately die. The different colours indicate activity of different genetic components in the cells.

The goal of the DBRM research school is to disseminate knowledge about modern stem cell biology and regenerative medicine to key target groups at the advanced undergraduate level, and to improve and enhance the education in these fields at the postgraduate level. This includes both postgraduate training and specialist training (CME) in regenerative medicine for a range of specialties.

The Dean of Studies at DBRM is Matti Nikkola (matti.nikkola@ki.se, cell +46-70-6227398).
