Regenerative Medicine of the CNS (Autumn -08)
October 1-7 2008

This course gives an overview of common neurodegenerative disorders from the perspective on regenerative medicine and development of novel therapies. After the completed course, the students should be able to discuss the known mechanisms and causes underlying the development of the most common neurodegenerative disorders and to describe the development of novel therapies for these disorders.

The course consists of cathedral lectures, group discussions and student presentations. It is given at Third Level (Bologna) and it corresponds to 1,5 ECTS credit points.

The course is organized by the research school of DBRM (Developmental Biology For Regenerative Medicine, www.dbrm.se). The center and the research school are funded by the Swedish Research Council(Vetenskapsrådet, www.vr.se).
