Developmental Biology for Regenerative Medicine

The course covers key concepts in translational research from the laboratory to the clinic, including an advanced review of descriptive and molecular developmental biology. After the course, the students should know the basics of stem cell biology and the medical use of cell therapy. The students should be able to describe and understand the theoretical basis for key technologies utilized in stem cell research.
The course consists of cathedral lectures, group discussions and student presentations.
The course is organized by the research school of
DBRM (Developmental Biology For Regenerative Medicine, www.dbrm.se). The center and the research school are funded by the
Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet, www.vr.se).
